      Collaborative Innovation Program (2011)

      In 2014, led by Xidian University, the Information Perception Technology Collaborative Innovation Center in Xidian University was officially approved by the Collaborative Innovation Program, i. e. the National 2011 Project,another strategic national program to upgrade the quality development of higher education after 985 Project and 211 Project, implemented by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance. In 2013, 14 centers were approved and in 2014 another 24 centers were approved.

      The Information Perception Technology Collaborative Innovation Center was established in 2012, by Xidian University, China Electronics Technology Corporation, together with other universities and research institutes. The Center aims to build itself into a high-level talents cultivation base and the innovative research platform for new theories, new systems, new technologies,and new devices of the information perception technology, catering to the major national demands. The Center composes of six research and development departments, four administrative and service departments, a technology transfer platform and an international academic exchange center. The Center is headquartered in Xidian University. Currently, the Center has attracted over 300 researchers formed into 22 research groups. So far, the Center has led several projects of major scale and significance and made major technological breakthroughs.
